Can you see the future of Marketing? - Basic and to the Point.

Dan Kennedy is known in business and marketing circles as the “millionaire maker”. His fame comes from his results. He takes his clients and shows them step by step how to take and idea and turn it into money.

When entrepreneur magazine says about you: “Dan Kennedy has 101 money making ideas for any business owner.”, that is powerful stuff. He is able to take his principles and put them to work for his clients in any industry or business. He currently works with clients in roughly 60 businesses. In any given year, he’ll make as much as a quarter million dollars in a month providing strategies in direct marketing, copywriting and marketing materials, video production and infomercials and profit improvement systems.

Kennedy’s clients include everything from sole entrepreneurs to huge corporations. Here are just a few examples - there’s the husband-and-wife couple who came to Dan with an idea, a mountain of debt, and failing advertising. Less than two years later, they have zero debt and a home-based mail-order business generating over 200 000.00 a month at about a 40% profit margin.

Dan is best known, on the other hand, for his marketing consultations with billion dollar information marketing companies. He has been a prominent member of the Guthy Renker marketing brain trust for years. U.S. Gold credits Kennedy with increasing it’s sales by the millions.

Dan immediately made my business healthy again by one simple principle that I was neglecting. I think it is neglected by a lot of businesses. Dan believes simply that having strong relationships with existing customers is an essential growth and profit center in a business. In fact, he sees it as even more vital then getting new customers.

We turned our whole business around by focusing greater attention and energy to providing excellent customer service. One of the skills that goes with this focus is handling customer complaints. Learning how to handle customer difficulties in a way that grows the customer’s loyalty rather than fractures it.

Customers can and do take offense to any number of things when it comes to doing business with you. Often they are upset with the product, the prices or the customer support. You can’t simply ignore their complaints. Start by acknowledging the problem and set about defusing the situation by:

Thanking them. Thank him/her for their comment, even if it was expressed in an impolite manner. Try to remember that their attack is not personal, and it’s best that you don’t treat it that way. Keep your composure and remain cool.

Beginning your phrase with, “Let me see if I understand you completely.” Then restate the complaint of the customer. This accomplishes two things. First, it gives the customer pause and a moment to calm down. Second, it shows that you are listening and taking their concerns seriously.

Making sure you find one thing in their complaint that you can agree with. It doesn’t matter how baseless you may see their complaint, pick one major point you can agree with. Build your rebuttal on that point. As an example: “Well, Mr. Thomas, I can totally understand you being upset about the delivery being late. I will see to it that it doesn’t happen again. Now, about your other concerns…” This shows them that you are not defensive about the situation, and you would rather help solve their problem than make excuses.

Solving the problem. The only reason a client picks a fight in the first place is to let you know that they have a problem. It’s your job to play along and solve that problem. Remember, this is your chance to turn a negative situation into a positive one and actually gain your client’s loyalty.

I have no doubt that these lessons saved my business. Refocusing and staying locked on the concept of total customer value can, by itself, turn your entire business around. It can go from dull and pain inducing to exciting and profitable. Dan’s “Magnetic Marketing” is loaded with these sorts of techniques. Simple, inexpensive if not free, and having a quick noticeable impact on profits.

He’ll let anyone try it for 1 year with a full money back guarantee with no hassles or fuss. Sometimes when you come to the point where things aren’t working and you have nothing to lose. That’s when the right teacher appears. Or maybe you are just starting and can’t afford set backs.

Simply walk the path of the millionaire business men. I am betting Magnetic Marketing and all Dan’s other real world profit making teachings will be the bedrock of your business and all your future businesses.

So you use Frontline on your dog, right, but did you also know is is available for cats too?

Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that any animal can be treated with the dog formula though, buy the right product for the right animal.

When administered in the way it was intended, your cat will experience a flea and tick free life.

Frontline Plus is approved by the EPA and FDA and for sale all over the planet. Usually a prescription is unnecessary.

Owners rave about it as it deals with ticks and fleas effectively for the longest time of all products on the market.

One reason you should deal with fleas quickly and efficiently is that their bites can cause skin conditions in your cat, which may lead to hair loss as the cat does their equivalent of scratching, and licks the bite until all fur is gone.

Frontline is like a rock steady friend, tough when you need it but gentle.

Being a combination of fipronil and methoprene, it gives strong treatment for flea and tick issues. In 48 hours 100% of the ticks are dispatched, and 100% of the fleas in half that time.

Frontline Plus also disrupts the egg and larval stage of flea reproduction so that there will be no eggs hatching to re-infest.

It also solves the problem of biting lice in the same treatment.

Gentle enough to be applied on kittens and cats eight weeks or older, it gives almost instant relief from the irritation of flea and tick infestation, and prevents the potential diseases that fleas and ticks can bring.

All you have to do is get your cat between your knees, pick a spot at the back of his neck, part the fur and put the liquid dose onto the skin; that’s it for the month; imagine too it’s water resistant and comes with full medical proof it works.

If you follow the instructions your cat should be flea and tick free for one month, great news for both you and your cat.

Made by Merial, a big name in the animal medicine industry, you can relax in the knowledge that this product will not harm your pet but will do the job.

Let the customers speak for themselves, you will read how pleased they are with how it works, a very different story when you read about inferior brands.

Your cat will be protected in all weathers too, come spring, summer, autumn and winter as it is resistant against water.

Frontline Plus is the best solution to give the best in cat care and keep him clear of fleas & ticks.

Mascots From Around the World

June 25, 2008 · Filed Under Business · Comment
by Amy Nutt

Mascots around the world are used for similar events in most countries. Almost all countries utilize mascots for some if not all of their sporting events. Football (American version), basketball, rugby, hockey, and especially soccer widely use mascots for college and professional games. Soccer is one of the most widely popular sports world-wide, so mascots are heavily used in these sporting events. Some teams use the soccer ball itself and dress it up as a personified mascot. Mascots can look very similar to each other and very different in various nations. Animal mascots are some of the most popularly used for sports on an international basis: - bears - birds - whales - sharks - crocodiles - alligators - tigers - bulls - rhinoceroses - dogs - wolves - cats - frogs

Mascots and the Militaries of Countries The military in most countries hold their own kind of mascots. Many nations have animal mascots associated with either the enter military, or like the United States one branch of the military. The bulldog is the official mascot of the United States Marine Corps. The current incarnation of the military mascot is “Lance Corporal Molly,” who resides at a recruiting depot in San Diego, CA.

Throughout England and Wales there are different animal mascots to represent the various branches. The Royal Regiment of Wales uses a live, white goat as its mascot. The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment has the ram as its mascot. Its current incarnation is Derby XXVIII, which was given in 2005 to the Duke of Devonshire. It is also known as “Private Derby.” The Black Buck Antelope is the mascot of The Royal Warwickshire Fusiliers, a branch of the British army. Ireland has the Irish Wolfhound as its mascot for the Irish Guards. It was presented to them by the Irish Wolfhound Club. The Club was hoping to boost the public’s interest in the breed.

How Mascots Around the World are Different

Mascots do differ around the world and can be used for very different types of events. Several countries around the world have festivals and parades that are indigenous to particular areas of the globe. Tropical places like Jamaica, Trinidad, and many West Indies islands have parades and carnivals. They have parades to celebrate tribal people. Sometimes troops of people from many countries including the United States and the UK will dress up in exotic outfits our “tribalwear” and act as mascots for the events. Many of the costumes are very ornate involving a lot of beadwork, face paint, and sometimes bikini or loin cloth style outfits. The outfits come in an array of beautiful colors and contribute to a festive feel for the event. These human mascots can either walk or dance in parades, or visit with people who come to watch the parades. They are very interactive with the crowds and do this as a profession. Many undergo classes that teach them the art of being a mascot. Some are indigenous to their own country, while many troops travel to different carnivals and parades to perform as mascots around the world.

Mascots that are Meaningful to Multiple Countries

It may be hard to believe that there are mascots that are meaningful to multiple countries. Some may have the same mascots, but maybe a different style of the same mascot. An example of this is Ronald McDonald. Many countries such as China and France use him as a mascot for the McDonald’s Restaurant. However, the style that is used may be very different that of the United States. France has recently run commercials of both a young woman and a young man dressed up in modern fashion that still resembles the clown’s outfit. China recently featured a cartoon version of some of the McDonald’s characters in cartoon form using Chinese children in the background.

Also, the Olympics are a time when the whole world shares mascots in like kind. The 2010 Olympics that are to be held in Canada already feature three mascots that will be shared globally: Miga, Quatchi, and Sumi. The characters are patterned after Japanese anime styling.

The Four Keys to Success for your Online Home Business

June 25, 2008 · Filed Under Internet Marketing · Comment
by Simon Whincop

Starting a home-based business online is not difficult, and websites these days are easy to set up. What is more difficult is getting what you have started to grow. And for that, you need one thing: traffic. Here are some tips on how to build and maintain it:

Step #1: Optimize Your Site

Have you ever wondered how webmasters manage to get their sites to the top of Google rankings? They do it by using a technique known as SEO.

SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is the process of increasing the volume and quality of website traffic from search engine results for targeted keywords. Using these same keywords throughout the body of your pages’ content will help search engines pick up your site.

Major search engines such as Google provide information and guidelines to help with site optimization. There are many keyword tools available, one of the best being Google’s own: http://www.goodkeywords.com. (And it’s free, too!) Avoid single words, as these are too broad. Choose phrases relevant to your online home business - the more specific, the better.

Don’t overdo it though you could get penalized for trying to spam the search engines! The most efficient way is actually to group ‘like/related’ keywords together and target these phrases across one optimized page.

Putting choice keywords into your website pages is only part of the story, however. SEO can also involve a site’s coding, presentation, and structure, in addition to preventing search engine indexing programs from spidering your site.

Step # 2: Back-Link Your Website

Building up your link popularity is essential to developing a good relationship with the major search engines. To do that you need to establish as many inbound links as possible, preferably from highly respected directories, and from websites and directories related to your niche.

Reciprocal linking involves asking other webmasters if they are willing to link to your site in return for a link to their site. However, Google and other search engines give less weighting to reciprocal links in comparison to the one way links that you can receive through article and directory submission.

Step # 3: Become an Article Marketer

Search engines favour sites with relevant content and rich information relating to targeted keywords. An excellentway of adding content to your website to include an article section. You could write your own articles, or post those written by others. You could even add an article directory to your site - you will have to maintain it of course. Linking your site to your own blog is another way to add content (Google’s Blogger is excellent and easy to set up and use).

Getting your own articles written, distributed and published on the Internet is one of the very best Internet marketing techniques in existence. Software such as Instant Article Wizard available to help you write articles yourself. Alternatively, you can purchase Private Label Rights material relevant to your online business.

At the end of your article, include a resource box that contains links to your website or lead capture page. You will then want to submit your article to several high quality directories, either manually, or you could leverage your time by subscribing to a website will do the job for you.

Remember quality articles will drive the curious to find out more at your website.

Step # 4: Start an Email Campaign

A vital element of any home-based online business is setting up an Opt-in email campaign.

Opt-in email involves setting up an landing page where customers sign their name and email address in a prescribed box in exchange for information about a product or service they are interested in. This is done through the use squeeze page designed expressly for the purpose of harvesting email addresses of interested prospects.

An autoresponder is a program designed to send emails out automatically to these customers. It will send out a series of follow up emails that you have created, at pre-programmed intervals. Customers in your list are your lifeline to referrals and future sales. Your ongoing relationship with them via your email campaign builds TRUST.

Entrepreneurship and succeeding your own home based online business do not come easy. To achieve success, all home-based online businesses need one thing: traffic. And that comes with hard work, coupled with expertise. However,if you are willing to use these techniques, preferrably focussing one at a time, you really can make your dreams come true.

Not Online Dating? You Should, 1 in 3 Women Put Out On 1st Date!

June 25, 2008 · Filed Under News and Society · Comment
by Tomas N. Anderson

Lady Doctor’s Research Reveals That Women Are Horny Creatures Yes, that’s right according to Dr. Paige Padgett of the University of Texas’ School of Public Health, 1 in 3 women who date online get busy on the 1st date. Padgett’s 2007 study was published the highly regarded journal, “Research & Social Policy, which is a journal affiliated with National Sexuality Research Center.

The research study focused on the dating habits of 740 women who had placed online dating profiles seeking men. The results were groundbreaking. Dr. Padgett discovered that 33% of the women had sex on the 1st date. And that 77% of those women who had sex didn’t use condoms.

Virtual Intimacy Theory Dr. Padgett did not conclude that these women were sluts. Conversely, she found that women who would usually be careful did in fact participate in unprotected intercourse because they were lulled into a sense of virtual intimacy.

Dr. Padgett reasoned that the “virtual intimacy” was created by the disclosure and exchange of personal information through frequent e-mail and telephone calls. The women revealed information about their backgrounds, sexual preferences, and their likes and dislikes with the men they eventually slept with on their 1st date.

It was this exchange, says Padgett that fostered the “virtual intimacy”. Women developed a sense that a relationship already existed (even if it didn’t) which encouraged sexual intimacy at a faster rate than ordinary.

So What Does This Mean For Gents? The take home here is: Start Online Dating Today! You’ll save money as it’s cheaper than going to clubs & bars and you’ll get laid on the 1st date 33% of the time. But make sure you use condoms.

My View of Padgett & Her Conclusions: She interprets the results of the study incorrectly. She is overly paternalistic and portrays women as weak, pathetic and stupid. They are not. Furthermore, she views men as predators who trick women and lull them into a sense of “virtual intimacy”. Bullshit!!

Using Common Sense and Logic to interpret Padgett’s study reveals that she is wrong in her conclusions. Women know what they want: An attractive male that meets their dating criteria. They choose one or several from the many that email them. Then they question these candidates and weed out those who don’t meet their dating criteria. For that successful candidate who doesn’t disqualify himself: It’s naked time!

If you shine a light on what’s really happening, you’ll discover that the women are the ones speeding up the sexual relationship. How? Simple. The women in Padgett’s study (and all online women daters) try to learn as much as possible about their potential sex partners as quickly as possible, whether by telephone or e-mail before meeting face-to-face.

Why? Easy: to convince themselves to engage in sexy time as soon as possible. When a woman becomes convinced that a man meets her dating criteria she will have sex with him. Dr. Padgett’s study reveals that the women had determined that they would have sex with their dates right out of the gates before their face-to-face meetings. The women had gathered enough info to make this determination before even seeing their dates in person!

Using Padgett’s Study To Your Advantage. In sum, women love sex just as much as you do. However, the most important piece of information that I’ve learned from my online dating experiences which is supported by Padgett’s research: Women need to convince themselves that you meet their dating criteria and that you are a Quality Guy.

This is where so many guys shoot themselves in the foot. They think that they must have (1) money; (2) power; or (3) fame to succeed with women. Simply not true. Here’s my secret that is backed up by Padgett’s findings: To succeed in online dating the only thing you need to do is not disqualify yourself. Women have questions, yes. They have criteria, yes.

However, women only require that you reply to their questions or hold yourself out in fairly open manner in order for them to say to themselves, “Hey this gentleman seems normal, he’s available, and he’s mine.” At this point, they’ll grant themselves permission to have sex with you.

Personal Loans

by Jarod Rawlins

Do you have question in your mind like why to choose personal loans? Well, the answer is quite simple i.e., the flexibility associated with it. There are mainly two types of personal loans i.e., secured and unsecured. If you are a homeowner, you can go for Secured Personal Loans. On the other hand, if you are a tenant, then unsecured personal loans are for you.

Apart from the personal requirements as mentioned above, personal loans can also be used for business purposes. There are two main basic categories of personal loans which are secured and unsecured personal loans. The basic differences between these two are collateral. Secured personal loans require collateral as security, unlike unsecured personal loans where no security is required.

Secured personal loans is simply a personal loan where loan is secured against collateral. Secured loans are best suitable when you have any of the situations like *Looking for large loan amount *Difficulty in getting unsecured loans *Having a bad credit history *Loans at low rate of interest *Longer repayment periods

Personal loans can be broadly classified into secured and unsecured loans. The basic difference between these two types of loans is the requirement of collateral. Secured personal loans require collateral whereas unsecured personal loans do not.

While secured loans are limited to homeowners, unsecured loans can be availed by both tenants and homeowners. Thus, it is entirely upon you that which type of personal loan you chose. Thus, it is recommended that you search the market to avail reasonable interest rates.

Vegetarian Diet Plans and My Story

The purpose of a vegetarian resource is to have a educational materials ready to help inspire you with the new lifestyle as a vegetarian. To show you the benefits in your nutrition, environment and ethics. Most of these resource centers are non-profit and dedicated to your education. The idea one would be A to Z reference guide with all the facts.

Resource groups for vegans will be open to new ideas for all topics for new food combos and also how to deal with your family on Thanksgiving. The Vegan how to group will be a great help with all the challenges of your meat eating friends. Use it as your fact center for this new vegetarian lifestyle.

This society of vegetarians has many sub groups within them and there standards are by no means the same. A vegan will not even wear a shirt or skirt made of silk because harm could have happened to the silk worm. On the other hand some vegetarians think it is ok to have fish, eggs and cheese. What is funny is the food labels act if there are no differences among vegetarian types.

Vegetarians that are the minimalist would eat eggs and cheese because it does not cause the death of an animal. Simple meals like tomato sauce and pasta has been an easy one for years. A food that is more of a cuisine is the Middle Eastern foods because they are innovational in taste.

It may seem like a pain being a vegetarian, but take my word for it is worth it. Most of my adult life I have been a vegetarian and with this talk of lack of muscle without eating meat. Oh come on now last time I checked, I do believe cows still eat just grass. The people of this world have lived off of farms for thousands of years.

Health care cost are costly everybody to much money from disease. If we eat less meat there is a good change there wound be less heart problems, lower cancer rates and overall less obesity in the world. I am sorry if this sounded like a rant or something.

If you are new to the vegetarian lifestyle, a gradual change would be best for most. Make the move with using many more mushrooms, keep it familiar at first. If you do not do this you will cram youself full of facts you don not need at first. You will be able to live without animal protein.

Making this change is going to be easier than you think because you will be eating many of the same foods you eat now. You can live without the meat gurus and you will not fall over. If planned it right it will be a healthier life for yourself for many years to come.

Praying Hands Calms the Mind

June 25, 2008 · Filed Under News and Society · Comment
by Babes Tan-Magkalas

There is a common prayer gesture among Christians which is called praying hands or the hands clasped or folded together before the heart. Such a prayer gesture is a symbol of obedience, submission, sincerity and repentance. There are others who raise their prayer hands as if pleading to God.

You may think that this prayer gesture is common only to Christians. Actually, the Jews were doing it long before Christians did. Natahn Ausubel, in his book “Book of Jewish Knowledge said: “It has also been commonly assumed that folding the hands in prayer is exclusively a Christian custom. This is not the historical fact at all. As early as the post-Exilic period, when Jews prayed, they folded their hands, and they observed this custom for several centuries even after it had been adopted by Christians.”

Jesus and the Virgin Mary were both Jews so their images are often shown in this prayer gesture. Even angel art works oftentimes show angels with their hands drawn together.

The Hindus and Buddhists draw their palms together at the heart as a sign of veneration and respect. It is also a form of greeting. This is known as the “anjali mudra” which means offering (anjali) and seal (mudra). The people of India when doing this gesture would say the word “Namaste” which is some kind of a sacred hello. “Namaste” means “I bow to the divinity within you from the divinity within me.” How beautiful the meaning of that word is!

In prayer, our body certainly has a role to play in prayer along with our heart, mind and soul. Our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, in his book “Spirit of the Liturgy” said: “The body has a place within the divine worship of the Word made flesh, and it is expressed liturgically in a certain discipline of the body, in gestures that have developed out of the liturgy’s inner demands…”

In the same book, the Pope recalled that during the time when feudalism was prevalent, those who were under a Lord would place their joined hands into the hands of their Lord to symbolize faithfulness and loyalty. Similarly, when we clasp our hands in prayer, we are doing the same - pledging to God our faithfulness and loyalty and placing our hands in His hands.

Is there a benefit to doing this prayer gesture? In yogic practice, drawing one’s hands together is believed to bring the left and right hemispheres of one’s brain together. Such a gesture is said to calm the mind.

Personally, I am able to focus on God more when I pray with my hands folded. Try swinging your hands instead and see if you can concentrate. It is just like when I kneel to pray. I acknowledge God’s presence with respect. I know a lot of people feel the same way. Praying hands and praying hearts are certainly pleasing to God.

Could We Run Our Cars On Water?

When gasoline gets to $10 gallon we are all going to have to change if we want to survive. Perhaps it is time we looked at using water to power our cars.

We are using up the world reserves of oil fast and demand continues to grow. With all this demand the price of oil can only continue to rise. When we start to run out of the oil we depend on we may think that $10 per gallon would be cheap.

We need to act fast to develop alternative energy supplies. We should be responding to this potential crisis to the same degree we would react to war. Everybody needs to feel involved in reducing our demand for imported oil by improving the insulation in properties and using their cars in a more economical way and using less gas.

I remember my teacher telling me that water was made of oxygen and hydrogen. I never could understand how that made a liquid but I do know hydrogen is a very powerful fuel and could be used as an alternative to gas.

Now hobbyists and engineers have developed easy to build systems that can make hydrogen gas from water. The gas can then be used as part of the fuel used to run your car engine.

All you have to do is buy a few parts which are easily available at hardware stores and you can assemble the kit in your garage and fit it to your car. It is said to only take a few hours to complete this.

The idea of using water to power our cars has always been a dream and even with these systems you do still need to buy and use gas but adding hydrogen should reduce the amount of gas you have to buy and use.

I have seen claims that users have doubled their mileage using these water fuel systems while other claim more reasonable improvements of around 20% or so. With an improvement like that it won’t take long to make up the money spent on buying the instruction guide which explains clearly what you have to do.
