The Good And The News About Moisturizers For Oily Skin.

Skin care products, including moisturizers for oily skin, are big business but the reality is that for people with oily skin modern mainstream skin care products such as oily skin moisturizers deliver very little and can even be risky to your health and your skin as a result of many of the chemical ingredients used in these products.

Most of the skin care products that you see advertised contain many chemical as well as petrochemical ingredients, and I shall give you an example of this.

Mineral oil is found very commonly in an exceedingly wide range of beauty and personal products and skin care products such as moisturizers for dry skin and moisturizers for oily skin.

Unfortunately mineral oil comes from crude oil and is a petrochemical product that is a byproduct of distilling crude oil. Mineral oil goes by a wide range of different names and if you look on the label of skin care products such as moisturizers that you may use now you may not even see it listed because it may be listed under a different name.

Mineral oil doesn’t moisturize. In fact it is intended to form a thin film of oil over the skin to help prevent moisture loss. Mineral oil does not increase the moisture levels in the skin and by forming a layer of oil on the skin it can exacerbate skin problems such as acne and can also lead to a restriction in the ability of the skin to eliminate toxins through the pores.

Mineral oil has been linked to cancer as well as allergies and irritation of the skin and eyes. It can be absorbed into the body small amounts where it can create vitamin deficiency problems.

So why would mineral oil be used in beauty and personal care products such as skin care products that so many consumers use every single day? The reason is simple, the reason is that mineral oil is incredibly cheap.

There are many excellent natural alternatives to using mineral oil in products such as moisturizers for oily skin and moisturizers for dry skin. Some good examples are Avocado extract, Shea butter and Babassu oil as well as a wide range of other naturally occurring ingredients all of which have been known for some time to have excellent skin moisturizing properties and which are much more effective as skin moisturizers than mineral oil.

And it’s perfectly possible to buy outstanding natural skin care products which use ingredients like these to produce an excellent result at increasing skin moisture levels. One company in particular produces an excellent range of skin care products containing no chemical or petrochemical ingredients that work very well at promoting overall skin health and skin moisture. And this company doesn’t even produce a moisturizer at all because all of it’s products work equally well to improve skin moisture for anyone with oily skin problems or dry skin problems.

So clearly these natural skin care products must be very expensive if the ingredients used in them are more expensive however that is not the case. This company does not engage in any television advertising and so the cost of television advertising is not factored into the price of the products as they are in most mainstream skin care products such as oily skin creams. For this reason their natural skin care products are in fact very competitively priced.

If you’re looking for a moisturizer for oily skin then there are excellent natural skin care products available right now that avoid the need to purchase those oily skin creams and oily skin moisturizers that you see on the shelves containing suspect ingredients like mineral oil.

No one with oily skin, or for that matter with dry skin, should have problems skin moisturizing. Excellent natural skin care products exist which moisturize very effectively for people with all skin types.
