As of now, hundreds of men’s lives are changed due to male breast growth or gynecomastia. The changes were due to emotional, physical, social, and health impact of male breast growth. Physical impact is the most apparent. The breasts of a man with this condition have puffy nipples with small lump underneath. This often happens on a teenage boy.

Once this condition starts bothering him, his self-esteem and self-confidence might get affected negatively. As a reaction, as much as he can, he will avoid swimming pools and public areas where shirts are not allowed.

At this rate, the impact of male breast growth has already increased. One breasts with lump and puffy nipple can already distraught the mind of a man. To hide their body, they would purchase and wear thicker clothes. Alternatively, they would use compression garment.

Men with man boobs always try to avoid mockery from their peers. As an extreme reaction, they would push people away from them and close their social network. The social impact of gynecomastia can easily be coped. However, the most serious effect that needs attention is its emotional impact. This can stay until a man gets married or so.

Often, married men with female breasts still endure psychosocial discomfort. Their worth as a man is never enough unless the signs are removed. The love and comfort of their wives are not sufficient to boost their self-esteem. As a result, there are too shy to remove their shirts in front of their wives.

Some cases of obesity in men are caused by the emotional impact of gynecomastia. According to these men, they need to grow bigger to keep up with the size of their breasts. In turn, their health is also affected. Obesity brings a lot of complications in one’s health, including heart disease and high blood pressure.

Aside from all of these, men with gynecomastia also have constant fear of breast cancer. In most cases, these men believe that their gynecomastia is a tumor because the lump sometimes occurs in only one side of the breast. Their chronic fear can sometimes affect them financially.

Man boobs can be considered as a normal body condition found in some men. However, professional consultation and advice is still required to prevent, if possible, emotional and social effect. This condition is treatable and if you must take a medication or undergo a surgery.
