If you think you have a flair for writing and want to see if anyone else thinks so then a good way to get out there and make a name for yourself is entering short story contests. Quite often it is a small investment to enter and you can try to see if you can win. With winning you can quite possibly build prestige and get your name out there.

Story contests have short prerequisites to entering. Many give you a topic and you just need to follow those guidelines for entry. Typically you have already written several short stories. When contests appear then you can enter them and have the material already set to enter making it easier for you.

Be prepared to also have a biography of yourself that is short and to the point. Tell a bit about yourself, if you have other writing credits and where the stories come from and your passion for writing. You can talk about yourself personally and what part of the world you live in.

There are many sources you can go to in finding a place to submit your short stories for contests. By doing a general search you can find many sites that offer lists of contests going on around the country and at many times around the world. The pricing may be extremely varied and you will want to find the ones you want to be considered for the most in choosing.

If you have a desire to be in a certain periodical then see if there is a contest to get in there. It doesn’t hurt to go for the magazines and other material that you eventually see yourself in. Have a vision and a plan and get to submitting yourself.

If your work is good and you enter enough short story contests your work will be seen and you can get published and work toward the eventual goal of being a successful published writer. But it all starts with the basic thing that all writers know. You have to keep writing no matter what.

Writing a book is definitely something that is easier than you probably think it is and while at times, it can be a trying task, all in all, it is fairly easy. You should learn how to write a book the easy way before attempting, however, there are quite a few steps that you should follow in order to ensure that your book is going to be a success and that you will have quite a hit on your hands.

The first thing you have to do is pick out a niche, or genre. Making sure you have the best one for you and your book is vital. You might want to write non fiction, focusing on memoirs, biographies, autobiographies, and so on. However, you might prefer fiction. Therein lies a veritable wonderland of different genres. Choosing one is essential.

Once you have picked out the perfect genre, you are actually ready to start writing. People write differently. Some can do it anywhere and any place, at any time. Others need a bit more help. You may have to set up a writing schedule for each day. If you have problems just sitting down to write, put aside a block of time each day to do it.

After those two steps are completed, you are finally ready to come up with an idea for your story. You want something that is going to be attention-grabbing and something that everyone will want to read, so make sure that it is good. Brainstorming with other authors is a great way to come up with all sorts of topic ideas for a book.

Finally, you want to make sure that you outline your book before you start. This is just going to be getting down the basic idea and concept for your book and it will absolutely help you keep focused on it.

Sure, there are many things to work out when you begin writing. However, a little organization can go a long way. If you keep to the course, you can be published in no time. Editors will be clamoring for your work!

Free Internet Publicity That Will Increase Customer Satisfaction

The process of gaining powerful publicity to increase brand awareness and client conversion rate while simultaneously increasing client satisfaction can easily be achieved in just a few steps.

First off, the reader must realize that publicity and marketing are actually the same thing because publicity, if done correctly, achieves branding and client conversion. A company trying to raise awareness of a particular brand or product must first realize the cynical mindset of today’s marketplace.

Before you can prompt a client to buy you must first gain legitimacy. Legitimacy can be achieved via online methods such as web commercial uploads to video hosting sites, helpful article submissions, social and news bookmarking that answers questions for potential customers as well as video and audio pod-casting.

These concepts should assist the potential customer by answering their questions and informing them of options as opposed to an ice cold sales pitch. By offering free information which will assist future customers with helpful, insider information will create a buzz about your company which will increase market share and sales conversion because you are proving that you are the powerhouse in the industry.

You’re showing future clients that you are more concerned with protecting them and guiding them through the costly obstacles of making the buying decision based off of industry facts than a sales pitch. An informed client is the easiest client to maintain, which will increase customer retention.

You may find that as you start achieving sales with this new concept, your customers are more informed therefore their expectations are positioned properly which will lead to more client satisfaction.

Using this concept you’ll never have to worry about the time consuming maintenance of having to satisfy the inappropriate demands of an uninformed client.

Be willing to freely inform potential clients seeking out your services before trying to sell them, you’ll find that the sales process is more streamlined and your customer satisfaction will shoot through the roof. There is no other sales or branding method more powerful than this.

Do You Want To Write Fantasy Novels?

October 15, 2009 · Filed Under Writing and Speaking · Comment
by Trevor Johnson

You will need several things to get started when you write fantasy novels. You should have an idea first of all. This can be a little harder than you might think. You want it to be workable. But if you want people to read your story it should be interesting as well.

A logical idea will make your story workable. Rules and limitations are needed. You will have to explain how your world may work. If you are writing about supernatural beings then explain what limits they may have. When writing about magical beings the reader will need to know how these things could work.

You will need an outline for your story. Basically an outline is your story plot and idea on paper. The main characters, and geography need to be included in your outline. Just put down all the little details that your story will need and you have a beginning outline.

The main character of your story will need to be decided. When deciding on a protagonist (main character) you have to pick a gender. Some people would rather write a character of the same sex they are. That may not always work if your story line calls for the opposite gender. Next is the age, occupation, and background of your protagonist.

It can be hard to make a person from scratch that is why the main character can be the hardest in the book to come up with. Your main character will need physical traits and a personality. When giving your character their physical traits make sure to include height, weight, eye color and hair color. Do not put the traits in all at once because it will sound like a list. Slowly add them to the story.

You will need to establish a personality for you main character. Is the character shy, quite, outgoing, loud, arrogant, sensitive, smart, friendly, or even mean or evil. Your characters personality will determine their actions and reactions later in the story.

Is Neverblue’s Affiliate Program Profitable?

Affiliate marketing is very attractive to aspiring online entrepeneurs. It seems like a simple recipe. Identify products or sites willing to pay affiliate marketers to advertise them. Success requires identifying quality products with a large market, advertise it, and create more in commissions then you spend in advertising. Affiliate networks allow marketers to view a large amount of potential campaigns. Neverblue is an affiliate network that every marketer should investigate.

Neverblue’s affiliate support begins the moment you submit your application. One of the affiliate managers calls to go over what you expect from Neverblue. Neverblue’s affiliate manager asked me some very simple questions such as How do you plan on marketing our service?, What blogs do you already have?, and What kind of traffic are you getting? The last question made me nervous that I would not meet Neverblue’s affiliate requirements. I was pleasantly surprised. Even with a newer blog, I had no trouble gaining membership.

Neverblue makes it easy to browse their offers. From Neveblue’s main affiliate screen, you can view Neverblue’s latest offers, top campaigns, and newest freebies. You can subscribe to be notified as new campaigns become available. You can even see the latest Neverblue news, right from you main affiliate screen.

Neverblue offers affiliate marketers a pleuthra of information to track their campaigns. Successfully tracking campaign information allows marketers to tell whether or not they are making money. Neverblue’s reporting system provides information including:

1. Number of views each ad has received

2. How many people clicked on the ad

3. How many conversions the ad made

4. Estimate of how much money it took to get the conversion

5. How much revenue you received

6. Your ads conversion percentage

8. How much each click is worth (based on current conversion percentage)

Neverblue allows you to run reports by date, a date range, campaign, and much more. This reporting system provides you with a wonderful set of tools for tweaking your ad campaigns.

If quality products are the lifeblood of affiliate marketing then creatives are the vessels the blood flows through. Creatives are what marketers are given to promote the product. Some advertisers do not allow marketers to change the creatives. Neveblue’s creatives include options for email, banners, or search. Each creative is available in a variety of sizes. Marketers can find sizes that work best for them.

I cannot recommend Neverblue enough. My affiliate manager has answered each of my questions quickly and accurately. She has even followed up to make sure my question got answered. I have used the reporting system to identify ways to achieve more profits. I have achieved up to 10% conversion rate with a test campaign. If you would like to make more money then you should check out Neverblue today.

Unfortunately, many of those mothers do not take action. There are a number of different reasons for that, but the most important one is money. For some families, it is just impossible to survive on only one income; however, you do not have to. If you are interested in becoming a stay at home mom, you can do so while generating income at the same time. This can be done by acquiring the resell rights to a software program.

At any given time, there are a number of software developers and designers who are working on creating a new product. Once that product has been created, the selling process should begin. The problem that many software developers and designers grappling is that they do not know how to go about selling their products. Instead of taking the time to learn how, they rely on someone else to do the selling for them. If you think that this sounds like a commission based program, you are wrong.

Instead of purchasing the whole product, you are purchasing the right to resell it. After that transaction has occurred, you can do just about whatever you want to the software program. This not only includes selling it, but altering it to become something more. In fact, many stay at home moms, who participate in this type of opportunity, decide to alter the software in some way. Doing so often allows them to claim the program as their own.

To make money from the software program, which you acquired the resell rights to; you will need to start selling that program. This selling is why this is the perfect opporunity for you and other stay at home moms. You can sell your software program at your own pace. In fact, you can do as much work or as little work as you wish. The decision is completely yours to make. However, it is important to remember that the more work you do, the more money you will make.

When it comes to selling private adjudge software, the good news is that you have a number of different selling options. These options may include, but should not be limited to, the creation of a product website, the use of online auction websites, or the use of online classified ads. Like the business opportunity as a whole, these selling methods are saint for those who are stay at home moms. Many of the above mentioned selling methods do not require a large amount of work. In fact, a few hours a week may be more than an enough time to get your website started, submit online classified ads, or start an auction on an online auction website.

If you are interested in further examining private adjudge resell rights, you are encouraged to do so. There are a number of online resource guides that should be healthy to offer you assistance. In addition to these guides, you are urged to examine what other software sellers are offering. Doing so may enable you to estimate how much money you can make by reselling a private adjudge software program.

How-To Do This Or That - Find Out Anything

November 29, 2008 · Filed Under Writing and Speaking · Comment
by Stuart G Martin

There are various blogs that will educate you on how to do things. Even if you know about these things, the blogs will still enlighten you in their unique way. For example, do you want to know how to draw a car on CAD software? Or else, you can find out how to remove the virus in your computer, step by step.

On the other hand if you want to share some information that you have accidentally discovered, you can write a how-to guide about it. It doesn’t matter if you want to talk about your achievement or you want to just educate people. There are many people on the internet community who would like to listen to your thoughts. It is quite possible that someone is already benefiting from your blog article.

You might have to do some real digging to find what you need, too, if you want to know how to make sure your petunias don’t droop. It’s not exactly the kind of thing you find on the front page of any kind of print.

Regardless of what knowledge you seek, you are sure to find something helpful on these how-to blogs. From pet training and feeding plants (yes, there’s something like that) to granite sculpting and low-carb cooking, you’ll find all sorts of how-to information in blogs. People are usually eager to share information and this is a good thing. Do-it-yourself has never been this easy, all thanks to the how-to blogs.

You might think there’s nothing much to share from your own knowledge, but don’t be fooled by such initial impressions. There’s always someone looking for something and you could have the answer they need. So, try having your own blog about whatever you know and if that’s too much of a hassle, make sure you share your comments on other blogs.

How-to blogs are not just about satisfying your literary soul, but about making some money out of it too. Because you’ll be writing about things people are eager to know, you are bound to get many visitors to your blog. Lots of web traffic equals substantial income, exclusively through pay per click ads.

‘How to’ blogs are not always about the bizarre, though. Most ‘how to’ blogs are about practical things you need to know, like taking care of your computer, dealing with stress, handling relationships and problems at work - problems everybody faces at one time or the other.

No matter if it’s simple or far-fetched, how-to blogs are there to help and guide you step by step with anything you’d like to do or learn. No situation is completely unique and you’ll always find something to help you on how-to blogs.

Article Marketing

You can help boost traffic to your website by marketing with articles. All that this means is submitting articles that you have written to online article reprint directories.

In order to get traffic to your website or blog by means of search engine results, it is absolutely essential that your content be well updated and interesting. Article reprint directories are commonly visited by people who want to add content to their website or blog with an article.

Articles that you submit to online reprint directories can be used for free by individuals who post them to their website or blog. Even though this does not earn you any money directly, the people who use your articles are required to add a box at the end of their post with information about the author. The information contained within this box is yours to write, so make sure to put in a link to your website and mention products and services available there.

Your information, including a link to your website, will thus be presented to anyone who reads your article. Depending on which bloggers and website owners choose to use your articles, you may be exposing yourself to hundreds, thousands, or even millions of potential customers. That could lead to lots of clicks to your website’s link.

A Google search for ‘free reprint article directories’ will yield a large number of websites that you can use. There are general directories and other more specific ones where all the articles they offer are written on a specific topic, such as health or food.

You don’t have to limit yourself to just one directory; feel free to submit your writing to as many as you wish. If you prefer, software is available that will submit articles for you.

Since you could write about literally anything, take the theme of your website into consideration when deciding what your articles should be about. Make your articles appealing to the people that you want to visit your website.

For example, a Tupperware salesperson might choose to write articles about food or even about tips on how to use plastic containers to keep toiletries, screws and nails, and toys organized.
