Don’t be deterred that when you first get the product, you have to take a part the packaging and fill up the sponge with water and everything, because if you follow the instructions and do so, you will find yourself with a fan that not only cools you off but hydrates your skin quite well. The one thing is that since this is an LED light it emits that cold blue colour light which for me is ok. This unit has stopped working totally after a few months. I put this in my husband’s clothing closet to ensure that he is able to find things in the wee hours of the early morning without turning on the ceiling light and disturbing me. No way to get it out, recommended! I do not think the solar landscape lights on the market are actually designed to illuminate an area. I have my light mounted close to my door and pointed straight at the door handle but when my foot hits my front steps the light comes on. Anyhow, it was a simple repair using my very own little nut and bolt so I did not have to deal with a return and delays. You may be 20-30 feet away and it can detect your movement. The installation couldn’t have been simpler. Happy with my purchase and everybody who sees them agrees. Seals watertight with foam gasket against a brick wall. The cage will be cocked because you can’t seat it on the intended third detent to snap it in place.
